Skydance Paramount Set to Cut Nearly 2,000 US Jobs – Report
Paramount Skydance will begin significant workforce reductions beginning on 27 October, eliminating approximately 2,000 positions in the United States under a cost-cutting plan totaling $2bn led by top executive David Ellison.
The layoffs come after the combination of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized this past August worth $8.4bn.
More international job cuts are expected, as the firm intending to reveal complete information in its third-quarter financial update on 10 November.
Earlier reports had indicated the company was looking to eliminate between 2,000 and 3,000 roles before the start of November.
As of December 2024, the organization employed about 18,600 permanent and temporary staff and 3,500 project-based staff.
The company has not yet commented regarding the report.
