Jet Transporting Pete Hegseth Required to Touch Down in UK Due to Fracture in Cockpit Window
A plane carrying the US defense secretary was forced to make an unplanned landing in the Britain on Wednesday following a fracture was discovered in the aircraft's cockpit window, as stated by an official statement which stated that Hegseth was safe.
"The jet touched down in accordance with standard protocol and everyone onboard, such as Pete Hegseth, is secure," a press officer stated in a online announcement.
The secretary was coming back from a short visit to Brussels during the flight.
This event isn't the initial instance that a American defense plane ferrying a top government figure has suffered mechanical issues.
Months ago, a United States Air Force aircraft transporting Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was compelled to turn back to Washington DC after encountering a technical issue.
